This association was registered as a Non-Profit Organization in accordance to Hong Kong law in September 1983, and as a limited company under the Companies Ordinance.
The name of the company is the "Graphic Arts Association of Hong Kong", which was dubbed referring to the name “Graphics Arts Technical Foundation” in US. As we all know, printing means the reproduction of graphic arts and wordings, so the founders of the association use this name which was a very pioneering move in the printing industry at that time.
